“I’ve spent 29 years working in companies that manufacture composite and fiber materials. Those years have given me a broad perspective from leading a listed company to managing acquisitions and international trade.

Boating, especially motorboating, has always been a shared passion in our family, though in younger years, sailing also played its part. Our summer home is located by the beautiful Lake Saimaa, where we spend most of our time on the water, but we also keep a boat in Helsinki. Even during the 15 years we lived in Düsseldorf, Germany, for work, boating remained a part of our lives. For me, being on the water is the essence of summer — a way to truly unwind and disconnect from working life. I also enjoy spending time outdoors, playing golf and traveling.

Today, I live in Helsinki with my spouse. Our family includes three adult children and their families, who bring great joy and energy into our lives.”
