Extending the Journey in the great lakes

If you ask John and Patti Meyer, the weekend can't get much better than spending time on the boat with friends and exploring Lake Michigan with their dog Ruby.

"The boat is terrific. It handles great in rough water, it’s easy to get around and extremely comfortable docking and operating without assistance."

Like a true water sports enthusiast, John’s addiction to kiteboarding makes him search for the perfect places where the wind gives him the ultimate power for his kiteboarding sessions. The quick and smooth Axopar allows him to reach incredible destinations like Chambers Island much better on the rough and windy days.

In 2022, John and Patti are planning a few weeks in the North channel up in Canada.

"I became very impressed with the style of boat, the way it handled chop and the simple layout”, John says.

The first time John came across an Axopar was a few years ago, when John and Patti were on vacation in Croatia, and it immediately sparked an interest.

"Besides the local trips to restaurants, islands and the small local towns, we’ve extended our reach of locations. Now we’re travelling to small ghost towns like Fayette in upper Michigan and the massive sand dunes that make the Manitou Islands.” This year, they are planning a few weeks in the North channel up in Canada.
