Every Axopar begins where the boating experience truly begins: below the waterline.

Long before layouts, deck spaces or accessories are chosen, the hull defines how a boat will feel, behave and perform. It shapes passenger comfort, driver confidence and the freedom of where the boat can take you.

Since the first Axopar 28 was launched in 2014, this hull-first philosophy has shaped a multi-award-winning range, helped create the adventure boating category and contributed to more than 7,600 Axopar boats being sold worldwide.

Traditional boat design often begins above deck, prioritizing interior volume, accommodation and marina appeal. The hull is then left to carry the consequences: heavy handling, bow rise, constant correction, slamming, rolling at anchor and inefficient running.

Axopar was created to challenge that thinking.

Our philosophy is simple but demanding: start with how the boat drives, handles and behaves in real conditions. Make the hull the foundation, not the compromise. Then design everything above it to support the experience.

Round-bow, high-profile boats can be pushed sideways without warning.

The fix: Axopar’s long, straight bow, low profile and low centre of gravity reduce windage and improve control.

Conventional hulls wander, requiring constant steering corrections.

The fix: Axopar’s elongated bow and integrated engine bracket extend the waterline for stable, straight tracking.

The fix: Axopar’s lightweight construction and low centre of gravity naturally reduce roll.

The Axopar hull is not defined by one isolated design feature. Its difference lies in how every element works together.

The sharp-entry bow cuts cleanly through waves, while the distinctive bow triangle creates lift and directs spray away from the boat. The second chine adds lift and stability as conditions become more demanding. The twin-stepped hull introduces air beneath the hull, reducing drag and helping the boat run lighter and more efficiently.

An extended waterline, low center of gravity, lower passenger positioning and carefully balanced weight distribution further improve stability, control and comfort. Axopar’s low silhouette also reduces weight and windage, supporting easier harbor maneuvering, lower horsepower requirements and more efficient cruising.

The Axopar Advantage: Low Center of Gravity

The purpose behind Axopar’s famously low silhouette goes far beyond its sleek appearance. Axopar boats deliver a predictable sense of control, with outstanding safety and passenger comfort at any speed.

Because their mass is positioned low and close to the waterline, Axopar boats experience less rolling over wakes while underway and provide solid stability at anchor. Lowering the center of gravity ( H) flattens the stability triangle, maximizing dynamic balance and roll resistance.

Rather than being shaped primarily for showroom appeal, Axopar boats are developed around how people actually use them on the water — with the hull, balance and driving experience setting the terms for everything else. The lower the passengers are positioned, the less their experience at sea will be affected by roll and movement.

By starting with the sea rather than the showroom, Axopar created boats built around use, movement and experience. Boats made for exploring coastlines, visiting islands, commuting, fishing, diving, entertaining, relaxing and working—without choosing between capability and comfort.

This thinking helped create a new category: adventure boating.
