The two nominations recognize different models within the Axopar 38 range, underlining the versatility of a shared platform designed to support distinct ways of spending time on the water.

Axopar 38 XC Cross Cabin: Best of Boats Award 2026 Finalist

The Axopar 38 XC Cross Cabin has been selected as a Best of Boats Award 2026 finalist in the Best for Adventure category. The nomination reflects the all-weather capability, versatility and driving characteristics at the heart of the Axopar 38 XC Cross Cabin.

“Best for Adventure means being ready and capable for the next outing regardless of weather or sea state, and the Axopar 38 XC Cross Cabin is built around that brief. Its fully enclosed wheelhouse protects the crew in poor conditions without losing the open-boat feel, thanks to wide sliding doors and an openable aft window that switch it back to open-air running when weather allows. Twin 300 or 350 hp outboards push the twin-stepped, sharp-entry hull beyond 45 knots, with handling to cover real distance. Below, a cabin with sleeping space, a galley and optional toilet and shower extends the adventure overnight.”

— Best of Boats Award jury

Established in 2014, the Best of Boats Award is judged by an international panel of experienced boat journalists representing marine publications across Europe and the United States. Its categories are based on real-life boating use cases and practical customer needs rather than boat size.

Hundreds of new motorboats are tested by jury members each year, with the finalists selected following extensive full-scale sea trials. The winners of the Best of Boats Award 2026 will be announced at the award gala during the Boat & Fun Berlin show on 26 November 2026.

Axopar 38 Sun Top: European Powerboat of the Year 2027 Nominee

The open and highly social Axopar 38 Sun Top is among the nominees in the “Up to 14 m” category for the European Powerboat of the Year Award 2027. The award recognizes outstanding new boats that have been thoroughly tested and evaluated during the preceding 12 months.

Its independent jury comprises senior boat-test editors and journalists from leading European marine publications. The nominated boats are evaluated on criteria including innovation, performance and value for money, making it one of the most highly regarded awards in the European boating industry. The award winners will be announced during Flagship Night at boot Düsseldorf on 23 January 2027.

Together, the nominations of the Axopar 38 XC Cross Cabin and Axopar 38 Sun Top highlight the versatility of the all-new Axopar 38 range. Built on the same innovative platform, each model offers a distinctive boating experience while sharing the same core principles of modularity, functionality, comfort and industry-leading drivability.
